Our Methodology

Our program is built around developing young players in a positive, age-appropriate, and supportive environment. We combine technical skill development with tactical understanding to help athletes grow confidently and comfortably on the ball. Every player follows an individualized development plan designed to meet them where they are and support their personal growth within the game.

With a foundation in education and coaching, our training approach prioritizes how young athletes learn best—through guided discovery, creativity, and problem-solving. We focus on building overall soccer awareness rather than limiting players to a single position, allowing them to explore the game, make decisions, and develop a well-rounded understanding of soccer.

We believe youth development extends beyond the field. By actively involving parents and emphasizing positive coaching, we create a supportive ecosystem that nurtures confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the game. Our goal is to develop thoughtful, adaptable players who enjoy learning, think for themselves, and carry valuable life skills with them long after the final whistle.

What does a SRDA player look like?

  • Gets forward as quickly as possible with the understanding that sometimes it is okay to restart in order to unbalance the defense

  • Spread out when in possession and be compact when you lose it. However the most important thing in soccer is to maintain possession to go towards goal.

  • Be confident in tight spaces and under pressure. Each player should master 2-3 moves with an understanding on the purpose for using them.

  • As soon as possession is loss, transition quickly to adding pressure on the ball.

  • Have the confidence to take players on 1v1 and to go to goal.

  • Being organized, have strong communication, a good attitude, and work hard. Players should support one another while also having a healthy level of competition amongst them.

  • Players also need to know how to properly fuel their bodies, understand the importance of proper sleep, and recovery.
